JOB POSTING

Senior Salesforce Developer (India)

    Why join the N28 team?

N28 Technologies is a boutique Salesforce Implementation Partner based in San Francisco, USA, with operations in India. Founded by a former Salesforce employee, N28 was built on the belief that high-quality implementations and genuine client attention aren’t mutually exclusive — and that a focused, expert team will always outperform a large, impersonal one.

We operate across the full Salesforce ecosystem, with a growing AI + Salesforce practice, serving clients in healthcare, life sciences, high tech, manufacturing, and semiconductors. Over 65% of our clients continue with us on Managed Services after go-live — a number we’re proud of because it reflects the trust we build.

Our values are simple: **Customer first. Grow together. Integrity** Your wins are our wins.

    Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who has been through the full lifecycle — multiple times. You’ve designed solutions, debugged production issues, mentored developers, and deployed/go-live on multiple projects. You know the Salesforce platform deeply, you work independently, and you communicate clearly with clients and teammates across time zones.

This role is a core part of our India delivery team, working across both Managed Service accounts and new implementation projects. You’ll be hands-on in the build, involved in solution design, and a technical anchor the team can lean on.

    Key Responsibilities

    Development & Technical Leadership

    • Design and deliver solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ/Revenue Cloud, Health Cloud/Manufacturing Cloud and MuleSoft
    • Follow Salesforce Best practises and solutions for out of the box capabilities – Point and click/Flows etc
    • Write efficient, well-tested Apex — triggers, classes, batch jobs, queueable, future methods — following Salesforce best practices
    • Build Lightning Web Components (LWC) and integrate Salesforce with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs
    • Mentor mid and junior developers through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on guidance
    • Contribute to solution architecture decisions and technical design documentation

    Managed Service Engagements

    • Own the development workstream across one or more client orgs — enhancements, bug fixes, configuration updates
    • Manage sandbox-to-production deployments using SFDX, Copado, or Gearset

    • Proactively flag and address technical debt before it becomes a production problem
    • Own escalated technical issues end-to-end — diagnose, resolve, communicate

    New Implementations

    • Engage from Discovery through go-live and hypercare — requirements refinement, solution design, build, UAT support
    • Produce and maintain technical documentation: solution design docs, data models, deployment runbooks

    • Lead or contribute to data migration planning and execution

    • Drive integration design, particularly where MuleSoft is the middleware layer

    Collaboration

    • Work daily with the India team and US-based project managers and stakeholders
    • Communicate proactively on status, blockers, and estimates — no surprises on either side

    • Partner with the QA team during test cycles with timely defect fixes and test data support

    Required Skills & Experience

    Core Development

    • 10–12+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience across multiple project types
    • Expert-level Apex — can write, review, optimize, and explain every type of async operation
    • Strong LWC development — component lifecycle, wire adapters, event handling, parent-child communication
    • Solid JavaScript — async/await, promises, modular design; not just copy-paste from the LWC docs
    • Configuration fundamentals are second nature: profiles, permission sets, validation rules, flows, approval processes

    Salesforce Clouds

    • Sales Cloud:** Opportunity management, Quotes, forecasting, territory management, Einstein Activity Capture
    • Service Cloud:** Case management, Entitlements, OmniChannel, Knowledge, CTI integrations, escalation rules
    • Revenue Cloud:** Salesforce’s platform for pricing, quoting, and contracts — the successor to CPQ. We expect solid CPQ hands-on experience (product catalog, bundles, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, contracts, amendments, renewals — 2+ full implementations) as the foundation, and the willingness and aptitude to work in Revenue Cloud. Direct Revenue Cloud experience is a strong differentiator but not a hard requirement given its relative newness.
    • MuleSoft:** Experience building or consuming MuleSoft APIs; understanding of integration patterns (pub/sub, request/reply, batch); can debug across the Salesforce–MuleSoft boundary

    Platform & DevOps

    • Flows (Screen, Record-Triggered, Scheduled, Autolaunched) — confident judgment on Flow vs. Apex vs. configuration
    • SOQL/SOSL — writes optimized queries, knows how to avoid governor limit issues at scale

    • Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, source-tracked deployments

    • CI/CD tooling: Copado, Gearset, or equivalent
    • Security model: field-level security, OWD, sharing rules, permission sets — can design and explain

    Integrations & Architecture

    • REST and SOAP API integrations — inbound and outbound, Named Credentials, Connected Apps
    • Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), event-driven architecture patterns
    • Experience with enterprise middleware; MuleSoft preferred

    Nice to Have

    • Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer II, CPQ Specialist, Integration Architect, Application/System Architect
    • Exposure to **Agentforce** or Salesforce’s AI/GenAI capabilities (AI Associate, AI Specialist certifications a plus)

    • Experience with **Data Cloud** or CRM Analytics / Tableau CRM
    • Experience Cloud (Communities) development
    • Salesforce Billing, Docusign, Conga Contracts, or ERP integration experience (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle)

    • OmniStudio / Vlocity — OmniScripts, DataRaptors, FlexCards
    • Prior consulting firm or SI experience

    What Good Looks Like

    • You’ve built CPQ pricing rules from scratch and can explain the difference between a block price and a percent-of-total discount without looking it up — and you understand how those concepts map to Revenue Cloud’s new data model
    • You look at a governor limit exception, trace it to the root cause, and explain the fix

    • Your test classes verify actual behavior — they don’t exist to hit a coverage number

    • You’ve debugged an integration failure end-to-end and traced it across the Salesforce and MuleSoft boundary
    • You can write a solution design doc a junior developer can follow without you being in the room
    • You’ve managed a go-live and know what “done” actually means for a client handover

    What Good Looks Like

    A healthy mix of both:

    • Managed Service accounts** — you own ongoing development across client orgs, run release cycles, keep production clean, and build the kind of trust that’s why 65%+ of our clients stay with us long-term
    • New implementations** — full-cycle builds across the Salesforce stack for clients in healthcare, life sciences, high tech, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries, following our **Discovery → Build → Empower** delivery model

    How to Apply

Please respond with the following 4 things

    1. Total years of Salesforce experience and the clouds you’ve worked on most
    2. One complex technical problem you’ve solved (a short paragraph is fine)
    3. Your current notice period / availability to start
    4. Attach your resume
