About N28 Technologies
N28 Technologies is a boutique Salesforce Implementation Partner based in San Francisco, USA, with operations in India. Founded by a former Salesforce employee, N28 delivers high-quality Salesforce implementations and managed services for clients in healthcare, life sciences, high tech, manufacturing, and semiconductors.
Over 65% of our clients continue with us on Managed Services after go-live — quality delivery is what makes that possible, and QA is a core part of how we deliver it.
Our values: **Customer first. Grow together. Integrity.** Your wins are our wins.
Job Summary
The Salesforce QA Lead will be a key member of our Delivery organization in India. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute functional and non-functional testing. You will also design, create, execute and maintain test plans, cases and scripts related to the Salesforce platform. Experience with latest tools, best practices, QA methods and Agile delivery is desired. We are looking for a self-starter, with a can-do attitude, a team-first mindset and good communication (written/oral) skills.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Salesforce QA Engineer who owns testing end-to-end — not just executing test cases but thinking through what needs to be tested, writing the strategy, and making sure things actually work before they reach a client. You’ve tested across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and ideally CPQ or Revenue Cloud. You’re comfortable in both implementation sprints and managed service release cycles, and you communicate clearly with developers and stakeholders when something isn’t right.
This role sits on the India QA team and works closely with developers, the QA lead, and US-based project managers across active implementation and managed service accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Design and document test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications
- Execute manual test cases across functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT phases
- Validate that Salesforce configurations, custom development (Apex, LWC, Flows), and integrations behave as expected
- Identify, document, and track defects clearly — with enough detail that developers can reproduce and fix without back-and-forth
Implementation Projects
- Maintain and execute regression test suites across client orgs for each release cycle
- Perform smoke testing after deployments to production
- Flag risk areas when enhancements touch existing functionality
- Keep test documentation current as configurations evolve
Automation & Tooling
- Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or equivalent (Test Automation Tools)
- Identify repetitive manual test scenarios that are good candidates for automation
- Contribute to improving team-wide QA processes and testing standards
Required Skills & Experience
Core QA
- 4–6 years of QA experience on the Salesforce platform
Minimum 2 years on Salesforce implementation projects through the full SDLC (not just regression on existing orgs)
- Proficient in writing test plans, test cases, and defect reports — clear, structured, traceable to requirements
- Experience with functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing
- Solid understanding of Salesforce’s data model, object relationships, and how configuration changes ripple through the system
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum — can participate in sprints, estimate testing effort, and adapt when scope changes
Salesforce Clouds
- Sales Cloud:** Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, Quotes — can test standard and custom processes end-to-end
- Service Cloud:** Cases, Entitlements, OmniChannel, Knowledge, escalation rules — understands routing logic and SLA behavior
Revenue Cloud / CPQ:** CPQ experience (pricing rules, quote configuration, approvals, contracts, amendments) is the expected baseline; Revenue Cloud (Salesforce’s successor to CPQ) experience is a strong differentiator. The ability to test complex pricing and quoting logic — not just UI validation — is key.
Platform & Configuration Awareness
- Can validate Flows, approval processes, validation rules, and formula-driven logic — not just UI clicks
Understands profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules well enough to test security model scenarios
- Can write basic SOQL to query test data and verify backend outcomes
Experience with sandbox management and deployment validation (pre/post deployment checks)
Tools
- Test automation: Copado Robotic Testing, Selenium, or comparable framework
- Defect tracking: Jira or equivalent
Deployment awareness: Copado, Gearset, or SFDX — enough to understand what changed and what to re-test
Nice to Have
- Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Platform App Builder, or any cloud-specific consultant cert
- Experience testing **Field Service Lightning** — work orders, service territories, scheduling optimization
- Experience testing **MuleSoft integrations** — validating data flow across Salesforce and middleware
- Experience with **Experience Cloud** (Communities) — portal behavior, user access, visibility rules
- Exposure to AI/Agentforce features — testing agent flows, prompt behavior, output validation
- Prior experience at a Salesforce consulting firm or SI
What Good Looks Like
- You read the solution design doc before writing test cases — you know what the developer intended, not just what the UI shows
- Your defect reports have enough detail that a developer can reproduce the issue without pinging you
- When a regression suite passes but something feels off, you dig in rather than sign off
- You’ve tested a CPQ quote through the full cycle — configure, price, approve, generate, amend — and caught a pricing rule that fired in the wrong order
- You’ve called out a go-live risk that wasn’t on anyone’s radar and been right about it
What You'll Work On
- Active implementations** — currently including a Revenue Cloud + Field Service Lightning project, where testing spans complex pricing logic and field operations workflows
Managed service accounts** — release validation and regression across multiple client Salesforce orgs on ongoing cycles
- A mix of greenfield testing (new builds) and regression testing (existing orgs), across clients in healthcare, life sciences, high tech, manufacturing, and semiconductors
Why N28
- Boutique firm — your work directly impacts client outcomes and is visible to the team
- Exposure to a range of Salesforce clouds including Revenue Cloud and Field Service — not just Sales Cloud regression
- Work alongside a QA lead and experienced dev team; real mentorship, not just tickets in a queue
- Direct collaboration with US-based project managers and stakeholders
